Line up the red dot and take me out!

Being the electronics and web enthusiast that I am, Web Design should be something I naturally enjoy. A chance to be inventive and creative. I bought the domain of http://madmikeone.com and for a time had a half finished site I had created up. But quickly growing bored of it I began work on a new one, GEN 2 if you will. I created a quick humorous site informing visitors that madmikeone.com would be back soon, but having spent countless hours working on my site I'm nowhere near finished. I think I'm on what is probably the 4th incarnation of the site, constantly changing the form, mood, colour scheme and layout of my site when the mood takes me. But the main problem I've had from the beginning is finding a way to display my blog on the site in a way I'm happy with. I know it can be done, I've seen it done; but I just can't manage it. I've tried and I've tried, but nothing comes to fruition; just my hopes being squashed time after time after time. Putting my blog in my site didn't work and building the site around my blog didn't work either. Today I thought I had finally had it, but it was not to be. Nothing is working for me. I'm coming so close to paying someone to do it for me, but the point of it all is to create something I'm proud of. But if I can't manage to present my blog in a way I'm happy with then I don't know what I'll do. Its stressing me out when I should be enjoying the learning experience. I've spent way to many hours on something that shouldn't be this hard. It's nothing fancy, just a blog.
